For breakfast, you can’t go wrong with the options that are just around the corner from The Collegiate Hotel. Big Blue Bagel is a fan favorite choice (don’t miss the bagel chips), Staks Pancake Kitchen serves a full menu of creative local breakfast options all day, and University Donuts can satisfy your sweet and savory tooth with donuts and quiche. If you want a true southern, home-style breakfast, check out Byron’s smokehouse.

AFFORDABLE OPTIONS

Inexpensive and tasty lunch options include Little Italy, Willies Wings, Momma Goldberg’s Deli (an Auburn institution), Guthrie’s and Chicken Salad Chick. The last three actually got their start in Auburn! The Pita Pit, Taco Mama and Bizilia’s join dozens of other eating options just steps away in downtown.

SATISFY YOUR SWEET TOOTH

You’ve come to the right place to satisfy your sweet tooth. Start with a classic lemonade from Toomer’s (it really is that good!). The Yard Milkshake Bar creates over the top extreme milkshakes. Other downtown favorites are homemade beignets from Mo’Bay Beignet Co., popcorn and fudge from Auburn Popcorn company, and cookies from Insomnia Cookies.

UPSCALE DINING

Foodies will rejoice with eclectic but upscale dining options like James Beard finalist chef at Acre, The Depot, Amsterdam Café, Hamilton’s, and Live Oaks. Newer entries onto the scene are Lucy’s and Waverly Local (ok it’s in Waverly not in Auburn, but it’s worth the 15/20 minute drive!)

NIGHTLIFE

College towns have no shortage of great bars, and Auburn doesn’t disappoint. Start off at The Collegiate Hotel bar, The Bar at Wittel, where we boast an amazing craft cocktail menu that will pair perfectly with our views from the porch and rooftop patio.

For those looking to keep the party going past midnight, check the hours at Avondale’s, Live Oaks, SkyBar and 1716. All these spots are an easy 2-3 block walk from The Collegiate Hotel. If needed, the CoHo offers complimentary golf cart rides for guests enjoying downtown.

Irritable Bao is a locally owned and operated restaurant serving Chinese fusion street eats. Check their socials for their rotating menu. It is incredible! Arigato serves all you can eat sushi for all the sushi lovers out there. Auburn Draft House offers outstanding burgers and has an incredible selection of beer.
